- Nominations for open positions on the BBARC Board must be sponsored by a current member of BBARC.
- All nominations for open positions on the Board of Directors should be submitted to the nominating committee (via the email listed below) in writing no less than three (3) weeks prior to date of the Board of Directors meeting at which a recommendation is anticipated to be made.
- When preparing recommendations, the nominating committee shall consider the following:
- length of involvement in the BBARC
- level of participation in committees and other efforts of the BBARC
- knowledge of redevelopment in the Big Bend Region
- other information as deemed relevant by the nominating committee
- county and region the nominee is located
- The nominating committee should submit all recommendations including justification(s) based on Policy #3 to the Board of Directors no later than one (1) week prior to the date of the Board of Directors Meeting at which a recommendation is anticipated to be made.
- Any nomination received shall be valid and is to be considered by the nominating committee and the Board of Directors for a period of two (2) years or for a term that includes four (4) consecutive regular Board Meetings after the Nomination is valid, whichever is greater. After that time, any nomination may again be re-submitted and the process started again.
