The BBARC Welcome Center is located at 535 Appleyard Dr., Tallahassee, FL 32304 in the portable trailer closest to Appleyard Dr. (Old Work Camp office). See map here.
DROP-IN HOURS: Tuesdays, 10 am - 2 pm Wednesdays & Thursdays, 10 am - 12 pm All other times by appointment only (*closed on all public holidays)

The BBARC Welcome Center offers case management, training, classes, workshops, and opportunities for social engagement or mentoring for individuals returning from incarceration. All are welcome!
Community organizations and agencies interested in providing services/classes/workshops at our BBARC Welcome Center, please contact Elaine Webb at info@bigbendreentry.org or call 850-270-3302.
A free 31-day bus pass will be provided to all returning citizens who attend our programs, as funds allow, to assist with transportation needs (up to 2 per client per year).

- Men’s Support Groups – 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month, 5:15 – 6:45 pm
- Starting Feb. 4th
- Creating meaningful opportunities for men to connect, share experiences, and grow through a structured Life Mapping curriculum.
- Women’s Support Groups – 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of each month, 5:15 – 6:45 pm
- Address themes like relationships, goal setting, and successful reentry
- Creating meaningful opportunities for women to share expertise and support one another’s growth.

Join local storyteller and teaching artist Celine O’Malley, for a series of workshops focused on creative expression, community connection, and play! Through imagination games, mindfulness, reflective and creative writing, art making, and storytelling, we’ll explore how we can support better health and wellness in our lives by allowing space for our inner worlds to speak, and building a sense of joy, empowerment, belonging, and connection with ourselves and those around us. No experience necessary, just bring an open mind and curious heart 🙂

- Poetry Classes – Thursdays, starting Feb. 5th for 4 weeks, 4:00 – 5:00 pm
- Create poetry with local writer, and BBARC Co-founder, Anne Meisenzahl
- Join the BBARC poetry writing workshop to express your thoughts and feelings through poetry! – Read and write and share.
- Your poems will be published in an anthology to take home.
